Floating June 14-16 th
I am thinking of hitting the green June 14-16th if I can get work off. Is the hatch strong enough that it will last that long? I am sure the fish will have seen plenty of patterns by then. Are there any other dropper flies that may add to increased takes? Any info. would be appreciated.

Thanks
Posted by pstruh on 6/07/2007Thanks for the info. I hope to get up there and give it a try. Just having that many fish up and looking is exciting. Catching a few is just a bonus. Thanks for your reports and I'll keep checking your updates for the conditions.

Lots of cicadas
Posted by dutchjohn101 on 6/05/2007I think there will be cicadas out for another few weeks. This is one of the biggest hatches we've had here. Just in the last week the 13 year magnifica have started to show up. They are more like a size 4-6 instead of an 8. There are still a lot of the smaller cicadas out there. As for droppers, they have been fishing really well when I have fished one. Zebra midges have been good anywhere from a #16-22. Brown and Olive have fished best. Most years they will fish really well until the first week of July. The fish are becoming very picky. That being said, there are plenty of fish that are still eating cicadas. For every 50 refusals, there are 25 that eat, and that might just be before lunch. There are also some cicadas on B section and nobody has been fishing them. I would ask for more info right before you come.
